A competency demonstration report (CDR) is for engineers who wish to move to Australia for skilled employment without an engineering qualification accredited by a country that is a signatory to one of the international accords—the Washington, Dublin, or Sydney accords. A CDR for Australia  is required for engineering aspirants to demonstrate their engineering knowledge, abilities, and experience within the practice area for the nominated occupational category.
